At the 2011 Boutique Wine Awards in Sydney, Pooley Wines Matilda Vintage Sparkling 2008 was voted Top Sparkling White Wine.

The Chairman of the Judging Panel, Gary Baldwin (Wine Network Consulting) described the wine as:

A fresh, fruity, crisp 2008 Sparkling Pinot Chardonnay –
wonderful line and length.

Gary's recommended food match? Natural oysters with lime and chilli.
