2008 Pooley Coal River Riesling is an elegant wine – a classic cool climate Riesling. The style is suited to drink now. It has some residual sugar and nicely balanced acids.

This label is our main line which is readily available throughout Tasmania, interstate, at the cellar door and by mail order.

The preservation of the aromatics is paramount and requires gentle wine handling.

Wine Characteristics

Colour	Lightly coloured (pale green)
Nose	Intense floral and lime aroma
Palate	Mouthwatering, pristine leaf and floral flavours, tight and beautifully lean and focused. A little sweetness balanced with good acid structure.
The Grape	The grapes are estate-grown from our cool climate Cooinda Vale vineyard in the Coal River Valley of southern Tasmania. The fruit is harvested by hand at the end of May. Hand picking ensures optimum quality.
Alc/vol	13.2%
Cellaring	For immediate enjoyment, but will continue to develop complexity and texture over the next five to ten years.
Serve With	An excellent accompaniment to seafood and Asian-style dishes.
