
Pooley Wines is located just a short 25-minute drive from Hobart, and just 20 minutes from Hobart airport. Our cellar door is located on the outskirts of the historic Richmond township in the heart of the Coal River Valley. Nestled between Belmont, the Georgian convict-built, heritage-listed home, and our vines you will find our tasting room in The Coach House.
Wine tastings are available seven days a week from 10 am – 4:30 pm. Our experienced staff will lead you through an in-depth, seated tasting.
Cheese and charcuterie boards are available daily, with wood-fired pizza available from Friday to Sunday between 12 pm and 3 pm (everyday from the 18th December to 11th January). Bookings are essential and can be made through the booking platform on this page.
For a more formal dining option, guests are welcome to book in to Buscombe's Restauant at our luxury accommodation, Prospect Country House, located opposite from Butcher's Hill and Pooley Wines Cellar Door. Buscombe's Restaurant is open to staying and non-staying guests for dinner 7 days a week, and lunch on Friday and Saturday. For more information and bookings at Prospect Country House,visit here.

Pooley Wines operates out of a heritage building in a rural setting and while there is accessible parking, accessible toilet facilities and a stepless path to the Cellar Door for people using wheelchairs and other mobility aids some visitors may require assistance. Staff assistance is available if required.
